Happy New Year!

I hope all of you have had an amazing Christmas and New Year's and that you are ready to kick start this 2016! I know I have been working on getting my New Year's resolutions ready to go and hoping to keep up with them as we go into this spring semester!  :)

Week of:  January 4th-8th, 2016

Monday - 1st Day Back! (Wear jeans to ease back into real clothes!)

Tuesday - Have a Terrific Tuesday!

Wednesday -  No Faculty Meeting moving to next week and doing a combo faculty vertical!

Thursday - Have a Tremendous Thursday!

Friday - 1st Texan Town Winter Session

Important Reminders and Updates

Faculty Meeting
I thought it might be a good idea to do a combo faculty/vertical meeting the 2nd week we are back instead of us staying late this first week.  I know getting back into the swing of things as well as having more planning time will be crucial as we start this semester for our kiddos.  So, please take this Wednesday afternoon as a little gift of time to do what you need to do!

Tutoring Support
Please remember that all tutoring support is starting this week and you will need to get with Laura Fairchild and she can show you what you will need to fill out to get paid.  Also, if you haven't checked with what our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade teachers need for your support please email them ASAP!

Move and Groove Schedule
We are going to be doing something a little different this spring semester during some of our move and groove days in order to give our kiddos more time in music and art!  Please see the schedule below as it will effect where you drop off your kiddos this spring on Fridays!  Kinder and 1st - this should not change your schedule as they will most likely keep you doing Move and Groove for practicing purposes, etc.

Visitors from Wichita Falls ISD
We will have another group of visitors coming to see our campus during the day on Thursday, January 14th at 9:30amThis tour will be similar to the last one we did, so team leaders please email me to let me know what you would be learning on this day.  They are looking for technology integration and how STEM is showcased in our learning at TCE.

Goal Setting Meetings
Brett and I will be setting up mid-year goal setting meetings starting this month.  So, be looking for calendar invites from us!  Also, be thinking about how you can be working with your learners on their goals and setting new goals for themselves as they are going through the rest of the year.  Remember to share assessment data with them, so they know where they are and where they need to be going for their learning!

Report Cards
Just a quick reminder that report cards are approaching us quickly, so be making sure your working on getting grades or assessments done for this!

Cultural Plunges
We will start with our presentations and sharing about our Cultural Plunges on our TLC day in January.  Don't worry if you haven't done your plunge yet! If you are still having trouble thinking of something, swing by and Brett and I can brainstorm with you!

I will be putting up a sign up sheet by the elevator for TLC days of when you might like to share during this spring semester!  Remember to write a quick one page reflection or journal for you to reflect. . .this is just for you (not to turn in) and then have some way in which you will present using any technology/multimedia tool as you share your experience with us!

Shout Outs!

Shout out to Becky Garrett for the great job she did with our 5th grade program!

Also, shout out to Laci Garza and Coach Yaeger for all of their help as well as our 5th grade team!

Shout out to everyone for pitching in to help with the Holiday from the Heart stations and for making this a fun daytime event for our kiddos!  Also, thank you to everyone that dropped off the donations/made items at the locations!

Shout out again to Casey Wagner for being on the ball with our Texan Town apps and getting it all ready for this Friday!

Shout out to all of our teams for an absolutely fabulous TCE Sing Along!  I was literally blown away with your creativity and fun that you made this event!  I truly appreciate all of you and am proud to lead a school where we work hard and know how to have fun together as well!
