Important Reminders
TCE Back to School Potluck
We are going to have our 1st potluck for the year on Tuesday, September 5th!  This way you can pick up a little something to make, etc. this weekend!  We will alternate beginning of the week and end of the week luncheons during each month throughout the year! Upcoming: October - TCE Spooky Potluck, November - Office Staff Thanksgiving Feast (provided by us)

Here is the link for everyone to sign up for this next Tuesday!

After School Dismissal
Everything has been going very smoothly with dismissals after school!  If you could please continue making sure that you are helping to get everyone in their cars in the afternoon by opening doors, motioning for cars to move up and making sure all of your kiddos are standing where they should be and not wandering off to the side to talk to friends, etc.  Keeping this consistency will help us with our structure that we set for the year and I appreciate all that you have been doing so far!

Texan Town
Please make sure and bring any charts, documents, etc. with you to our faculty meeting this week for feedback on Texan Town jobs/clubs.  We will be using this feedback to go forward with setting up our jobs/clubs and will have these set by September 8th.  I will send out a Google Doc within our faculty meeting for our staff brainstorming that will be complete by Friday, September 8th.  I am holding off until then, so we can analyze our data collected from our kiddos.  Then Casey Wagner (who is greatness) will be setting up our form for voting for our kiddos which will happen on Monday, September 11th and our 1st Texan Town will be on Friday, September 15th!

Compliance Training
Don't forget about finishing up the compliance training modules in Schoology.  Scroll back to the past blogs if you need more info!

Goal Setting
Don't forget we still can't enter in our goals yet into Eduphoria!  We learned more about the transition at our principal's meeting and will be updating you more on this at our faculty meeting this week!

Posting Curriculum Night Presentations
I know many of you may already be planning on doing this, but please make sure you have sent out the Curriculum Night Presentations in your team blog as well as have it posted on your Google Site for reference for our parents for this year.

Made You Think. . .
Video Connections
I came across these video connections. . . one about happiness that focuses on Harvard research showing what truly makes people maintain happiness in their lives. Also, another video by Simon Sinek (who we watched our first week back about finding our why) focusing on millennials, relationships and some of the factors affecting our world today.  Thought these were both thought provoking especially when thinking how we as educators approach learning and making connections with our learners!
