Engineering Extravaganza Night
It's that time to start getting our ideas down and ready to go for our annual family night coming up on Thursday, February 22nd (5:00-7:oopm). I am attaching a link, so we can get our stations brainstormed. This year, if we could please have no more than 3-4 people per station.
Remember, you don't have to stay with your team, you can branch out and partner with others on the campus! Try your best to think of some new and exciting ideas, as we try to keep this event fresh with new STEM family challenges!
Please remember that we have lots of resources already with our maker space tools as well as in our innovation station upstairs, so check there before placing an order!
If you need to purchase materials, please make sure Laura knows what you need by this Friday, Feb. 9th!

Curriculum Connection: Finding a Sense of Purpose
I came across an interesting article this week discussing how important it is for adults and kids to understand and know they have a purpose in life. This purpose leading to one having a value for the impact they make in the world. This article focuses more on teenage learners, but it had me thinking about how we can and how we already do start focusing with our kiddos at an early age the impact they are making each day in their lives with their actions. Establishing purpose may be one way in which to help our kiddos choose positive pathways in their lives. . .
Here is another short video created on purpose. . .
