G.O.A.T.
This past Sunday, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots cemented themselves as one of the greatest organizations in all of sports. For the fifth time they were able to raise the Lombardi Trophy after an unimaginable comeback in Super Bowl LI. With this win Brady also put his name in discussion as the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). What he has done in his career is nothing short of incredible, and I say that not as Tom Brady fan, but a football fan in general. The second half comeback, after being down 28-3, marks the biggest comeback in Super Bowl History. He broke three single-game passing records at Super Bowl LI, added to four of his own career passing records, became the first player to play in seven Super Bowls and tied a record by being the second player to play on the winning team in five Super Bowls.
How does one player have a mindset like this after being behind so far in the game? He had to intervene at a time when no one believed it was possible. He took the game into his own hands and rewrote the record books, responding to adversity, and took home MVP honors once again.
I make note of this because the past two weeks during PST meetings, you all have been nothing short of incredible as well. All year you have been responding to the adversity that happens when you see one of your learners struggling. You brainstorm solutions, intervene with appropriate tools, and start to see success. There were numerous celebrations about the progress your learners have made so far this year. It was great to hear how much you truly know your kiddos, and I want to say hats off to you, you are all the greatest of all time.
Please see the links below with some great information about intervention and meeting the needs of your learners:
