Important Reminders
Book Study - Innovator's Mindset
Scroll down to last week's blog post to see the reminder about using padlet to record your ideas/resources by December 14th. Also, remember to have the last part of the book read by the following: Read pages 122-229 by our January TLC meeting - January 25th.
RTI Meetings
Just a reminder that Brett is going to be rescheduling our RTI meetings for December due to us having many activities on Fridays. Please make sure that you have been collecting your data for progress monitoring and entering it into Aware. This is crucial for us to continue supporting our learners and moving ahead with any additional evaluations as needed throughout the year. If you need any support with collecting/analyzing your data, please let us know and we can help you with making sure we are getting everything that is needed.
3rd-5th grade teachers: Please share with the core RTI committee (me, Brett and Kelly) your beginning of the year scores from the STAAR pre-assessments in an excel or Google spreadsheet. If you would please highlight any learners who are 50 or below in red. (5th grade I know you will be taking your science in December) We will discuss the scores more with your teams on our upcoming STEM planning days, but this will help to give us data to see how all of our learners are sitting at the beginning of the year. (and yes, we do realize it is the first go round, so do not worry if you have several learners who are lower than what you would like to see). If you could have it to us, by the end of our first week back, Friday, December 2nd.

We All Play a Part of the TCE Family
The
Dallas Cowboys now have the best record in the NFL at 8-1. If you did not get a
chance to hear it this week, Tony Romo, the injured starting quarterback is
healthy and ready to play. Despite the
fact that he has been the Cowboys quarterback over 10 years, he conducted a
press conference on Tuesday, explaining his feelings about the current season,
see the following link:
You may be asking, how does this impact us and our
school? As we have the opportunity to
spend time away from the hustle and bustle of the school year and spend time
with our family and loved ones, I just wanted to say that you all play such
unique roles in our school. There are
things that you do behind the scenes that do not go unnoticed, and contribute
to the success we see day in and day out.
THANK YOU for all you do each and every day, you are more than just
educators, you are a team, and a family.
Thanks again, enjoy your break.
